About Us

The Palmer-Hampton Agency was started in 1963 by Wilson Palmer and was originally Wilson Palmer Insurance. Real estate was added to the agency in the late 60’s and the auction service was added in 1973. Doug Hampton joined Mr. Palmer in 1973, and in 1975 the business was renamed The Palmer-Hampton Agency.

In 2020, the Insurance division of the agency was turned over to Doug's son John Hampton, and became GCH Insurance. To reflect that change, the agency was re-christened as Palmer Hampton Realty.

Doug Hampton holds licenses in real estate and auctioneering, and has served three terms as president of the Cynthiana-Harrison Co. Board of Realtors.  

At Palmer-Hampton, our history of providing top-notch, personal service continues today, and we can boast of clients who have been with us for over 50 years. At the same time, we are looking to the future, bringing on energetic and enthusiastic new Realtors and taking advantage of technological tools available to us to ensure our customers get top-notch service today.
